The moment one gives close attention to any thing, even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself. ~Henry Miller
One day, I was able to get within 5 feet of a beautiful baby hawk that was on the ground getting a drink of water. He was not afraid as I approached, and looked quizzically at me as I took some pictures of him with my phone. The way this hawk looked at me reminded my of my recent obsession with the thought that “in any situation there is at least one more perspective than there are people involved”. I tend to get stuck in my way of seeing a situation and frustrated by the lack of vision from others. Reminding myself that reality is whatever we believe it to be and that there are many, many perspectives for any situation helps me to remember that my perspective is not necessarily the “right” one, and that I have the ability to change the way I see things if I ask enough questions, listen to more than just the voices in my head, (of which there are many at times), and sit quietly with the problem or question at hand.
What you see depends not only on what you look at, but also on where you look from. -James Deacon
People who look through keyholes are apt to get the idea that most things are keyhole shaped. ~Author Unknown
